Things to explore
Our (totally unbiased) guide to the best spots around! These are the places we love, where we’ve laughed, eaten way too much, and maybe gotten lost once or twice. Follow our lead—you won’t regret it!
Napoli
Since we met, studied, and (somehow) survived exams in Napoli’s historic centre, we couldn’t let you visit without some insider tips!
Take a stroll through Spaccanapoli – The heart of the city, where we spent too many hours pretending to study and actually just eating.
Visit Piazza del Gesù & Via dei Tribunali – You’ll find stunning churches… but let’s be honest, you’re here for the pizza.
Eat the real deal – Grab a pizza margherita at Sorbillo or Da Michele (yes, the one from Eat, Pray, Love).
Sfogliatella vs. Babà – You must pick a side. Flaky sfogliatella or rum-soaked babà? Both are amazing, but choose wisely—we’re judging.
Lungomare & Castel dell’Ovo – Perfect for a sunset walk (or digesting all that food).
Basically, eat, walk, repeat—Napoli-style. Enjoy! 🍕❤️
Pompei
If you’re up for an adventure (and by adventure, we mean walking a lot and pretending to be archaeologists), Pompeii is the place for you!
Get lost in an ancient Roman city – Literally. No Google Maps, just centuries-old streets and your best sense of direction (good luck).
Stand in the Forum and imagine being a Roman VIP – Or just a local complaining about overpriced amphorae.
Visit the plaster casts of the volcano’s unlucky victims – A little eerie, but also fascinating. Bonus points if you don’t make a dramatic escape joke.
Hike up Vesuvius – Because staring at the volcano from below isn’t enough. Climbing to the top means you can say, “I conquered the thing that once wiped out an entire city.”
Eat like an emperor – After all that exploring, reward yourself with pizza, pasta, and maybe a sfogliatella (you burned some calories, right?).
Pompeii: where history meets adventure… and a whole lot of walking.
Sorrento & Amalfi Coast
Welcome to the land of giant lemons, dangerous curves (on the roads, not just the locals), and sea views so stunning they might make you consider abandoning city life to become a full-time limoncello taster.
Drink your weight in limoncello – This is not just a drink; it’s a way of life. Try it at a local limoncello factory, and don’t be surprised if you leave with a bottle (or three).
Hike the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) – A breathtaking trail high above the coast. It’s called “Path of the Gods” for a reason—you’ll feel like you’re walking among them (until your legs start burning).
Conquer the Amalfi Coast drive – Hairpin turns, sheer cliffs, and Italian drivers with zero fear. Whether you’re driving or just holding on for dear life, it’s an adventure.
Swim in the Mediterranean – Whether it’s the hidden Fiordo di Furore, the beaches of Marina Grande, or diving straight off a boat in Capri, the sea here is unreal.
Sorrento’s historic centre – Cobbled streets, artisanal shops, and more limoncello. (Did we mention the limoncello?)
Positano & Ravello – One’s all about beach glam and endless stairs, the other’s for villa gardens and slow, scenic living. Both are ridiculously beautiful.
Eat like a true Italian – Scialatielli ai frutti di mare, delizia al limone, fresh mozzarella, and endless seafood. Diet? Never heard of it.
Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast: come for the views, stay for the food, and leave with a suitcase full of limoncello. 🍋🌊🚀
Capri, Ischia & Procida
If the Amalfi Coast is where you fall in love, the islands are where you get swept off your feet—by the views, the sea, and maybe a tiny boat navigating impossible caves.
Capri – The Diva 💎🌊
Ride the funicular up from the port and step straight into a postcard.
Blue Grotto – Yes, it’s touristy, yes, the boatmen will sing, and yes, you’ll still be amazed.
Monte Solaro – Take the chairlift up and feel like you're flying over paradise.
Piazzetta life – Grab a spritz and people-watch like a true Caprese.
Ischia – The Wild One 🌋☀️
Thermal spas – The island is a giant natural jacuzzi. Sit back, soak, and pretend you’re a Roman emperor.
Aragonese Castle – A castle on a rock. Need we say more?
Sant’Angelo – No cars, just little boats and pastel houses. Ridiculously charming.
Hike up Mount Epomeo – Because every adventure needs a volcano.
Procida – The Hidden Gem 🎨🏝️
Marina Corricella – A rainbow-colored fishing village straight out of a movie (literally, Il Postino was filmed here).
Tiny, local, and perfect – No crowds, just lazy seafood lunches by the water.
Explore by bike – It’s small, beautiful, and no one’s in a rush. Neither should you be.
