FAQs

Because we know you have questions!

How do I get from Naples Airport to Sorrento?

There are a few ways to reach Sorrento from Naples Airport:

  • Shuttle bus: The Curreri Viaggi bus runs directly to Sorrento in about 1.5 hours.

  • Train: Take the Alibus to Naples Centrale, then hop on the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento (around an hour, but often crowded).

  • Private transfer: The easiest option but the most expensive—book in advance, and a driver will meet you at arrivals.

  • Ferry: For a scenic trip, take a taxi to the Naples port "Molo Beverello" and catch a ferry to Sorrento (40 minutes).

  • Car rental: A good option if you’re planning to explore, but parking is tricky, and the roads are winding!

Is there parking available in Sorrento?

Sorrento has some on street parking and car parks dotted in the city, i.e. "Parcheggio Comunale Achille Lauro" or "Parcheggio Stinga". Some hotels might also offer parking, but space is limited in Sorrento, so it’s best to check in advance. If you’re driving to the venue, the parking is available.

What are the best transport options around Sorrento?

  • Walking – The best way to explore the town!

  • Taxis – Readily available, but fares can be high—agree on a price before hopping in.

  • Buses – The EAV bus network connects Sorrento to nearby towns.

  • Scooters – A fun option if you’re comfortable with Italian traffic!

How do I get to the venue on the wedding day?

If you are not self-driving to the venue, don't worry, a shuttle will be arranged departing from Sorrento centre. More info will be shared closer to the date!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is Festive Attire— elegant and fun. For men, they should wear a classic suit, and formal evening wear (floor-length dresses or evening pantsuits) for women. Overall we’d love for everyone to embrace the celebratory spirit with stylish outfits that reflect the joy of the occasion.

Are children welcome?

Yes! We will have entertainment available for children aged three and above. For little ones under the age of three, they will need to stay with their parents during the event, under their responsibility. Thank you for understanding!

Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?

Yes! If you have any dietary needs—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies—just let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

Should I plan extra time for travel on the day?

Yes—definitely! The road to Sorrento and in general the Amalfi Coast can be very busy on Sundays in August, especially with summer traffic along the coastal roads.

Please plan to leave early to avoid delays and ensure you arrive on time for the ceremony. Better early with prosecco than late in a rush! 😉

What’s the weather like in August?

It’s hot—like, really hot. Expect sunshine and high temperatures throughout the day. We recommend wearing light clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and most importantly, stay hydrated—water, granita, spritz… whatever keeps you cool! Whether you’re exploring towns or lounging by the sea, don’t underestimate the Italian summer sun!!
